Can Spirits Text Message?!

A major turning point in my mediumship came when I learned on Facebook that a childhood friend had unexpectedly and suddenly passed away. There was no information on how she passed and though we only kept in touch occasionally, I was floored by the news. That night I began talking to her, reminiscing about episodes in our friendship, laughing, crying, and asking her what happened.
Within a few hours I grabbed my phone to send a text message to someone. When I looked to add an emoji, I actually thought for a moment that my phone had been hacked. Those who know me well know that I am not very tech savvy. I had no idea how to make those specific people emojis (is that what they're even called? lol). The extent of my emoji use is limited to hearts, birthday cakes, happy faces, and praying hands. I had no idea how to create a character with features similar to my own or anyone else's for that matter.
After the initial shock of seeing a succession of African American faces in my emoji bank, I took a closer look. These were messages from my friend!
I looked more closely and realized the faces told a story. For example, I interpreted the stars in her eyes (picture below) to mean a headache, as we often "see stars" when we're struck with pain. I interpreted the hearts in her eyes to be sending me love and the head exploding to be an aneurysm or a stroke. Her tears may signify some sadness or regret about leaving, or sadness in seeing the pain those of us who miss her feel. I reached out to the person who posted her passing and asked if she had had an aneurysm or a stroke, which he confirmed. The remaining emojis let me know that she is o.k. I took a screenshot (posted below) so I would never forget or doubt that our loved ones are still with us. I also had to marvel at my friend's ability to get her message across. She was always powerful!
This experience set my feet firmly on the path of developing my mediumship. I didn't even know there were classes and schools dedicated to exploring and developing these skills, or abilities, or whatever you want to call them. I'm grateful for the people who showed up at just the right time with just the right information and just the right encouragement. Thank you to those of you who kept encouraging me to share this with the world.
Now enough about me...what about you? What brings you here? Are you struggling with the loss of a loved one? Do you need to be reminded of your light? Do you have questions about whether you, yourself, may be a medium? Do you have tons of questions about the whole topic? Periodically, I will post links to books, videos, quotes, etc. that I have found helpful on my journey. Feel free to reach out and get in touch. I will do my best to respond. Remember, you are not alone. We're in this together. The light in me honors the light in you. (Namaste)
